The premiere of the film Paintings in The Dark took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film at PVR, Diamond Plaza Mall.

The story of the film revolves around Emmanuel who is a visually challenged artist. He has lost his mother at a young age. He comes to the city in search for his lost mother but gets trapped in a child prostitution racket. Will he succeed in finding his mother whom he barely remembers?

Sayantee Chattaraj, Rashed Rahaman, Sreela Tripathy, Surajit Maity, Biswajit Ghosh, Nilanjana Rudra and others will be seen in important roles in the film.

Satyajit Das has directed the film while the producer of the film is Bhubaneswar Dey.

The film is running at different single screens and multiplexes in the city.
