Culinary traditions took center stage as Kitchen Canvas and The Event Alchemist by RUMA successfully hosted the “Lost & Found Recipe Contest” at Agora Space. Designed to unearth forgotten heirloom recipes and revive traditional flavors, the vibrant event brought together passionate home cooks and culinary enthusiasts from across the city.

The competition saw an overwhelming response, with 26 talented participants showcasing their culinary prowess by presenting dishes deeply rooted in regional history and family tradition. From rare, generational preparations to forgotten delicacies of Bengal and beyond, each entry told a unique story of culture, memory, and heritage.

The meticulous task of evaluating these creations fell to renowned Chef Palak Chatterjee, who brought his expert palate and industry insight to judge the entries based on taste, presentation, and authenticity. The event was further graced by esteemed special guests Prof. Debashis Das and Ms. Swagata Das Gupta, who commended the organizers for curating a platform that celebrates and preserves culinary history.

Organized by The Event Alchemist, the contest successfully bridged the gap between the past and the present, offering food lovers a nostalgic journey through lost flavors. Winners were awarded for their exceptional dishes, but the true triumph of the day was the collective rediscovery of culinary roots.
