Director Sourav Chakraborty is back with a new web-series Shobdo Jobdo. The series started streaming from 21^st February. We point out some reasons why you must not miss watching the web-series.

Cast of the film

Rajat Kapoor as the thriller writer Sougata breathes life in the character. His vulnerability about what he thinks is a ghost or a fiction of his mind is well portrayed. Mumtaz Sorcar has been shown in the web-series in a never-before seen avatar. She will surprise the audience for sure. Subrat Dutta as Amitava and Paayel Sarkar as Sougata’s wife, Aditi also are great support to the cast of web-series. Saloni as Raka, the writer’s daughter also made an acting debut.

The web-series begins with the writer seeing a girl who meets with an accident due to his car. However he is the only person who can see the girl. He also forgets important facts about his life-like his own flat, his friends and so on. The web-series hence throws the audiences a question- was the girl real or just a fiction of the author’s mind.

The director has directed quite a few web-series beforehand for Hoichoi namely Japani Toy, Dhanbad Blues and so on. All the web-series have been well received by the audience due to the variety of the content. And with Shobdo-Jobdo, the director has again delivered a web-series which leaves the audience on the hook from the first scene of the web-series itself. Minute details have been kept in mind while directing the web-series. For instance, the author’s apartment abroad or the way the family dresses all match perfectly with a NRI family.

The hills have been presented extremely well. The hills showcase beauty and in the beauty, there is an element of mystery and thrill. That has been well juxtaposed in the web-series. That leads to the haunting element of the web-series.

Amit Bose is behind the music of the web-series. The music compliments the web-series aptly. There is a haunting and thrilling element in the music of the web-series.
