Flagging Off Of Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Motoring Drive-Moitri
The flagging off of the first ever Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Motoring Drive 2020- Moitri took place in the presence of Madan Mitra, Rachana Banerjee, B M Jamal Hossain, Minister (Political) & HOC, Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, Kolkata, Milon Mukherjee, Chairman, Automobile Association of Eastern India and others.
The rally with 21 cars will proceed to Bangladesh via Benapole border on 1st March, 2020 and end at Siliguri on 7th March, 2020. The rally will cover about 2000 kilometers and touch Jessore-Dhaka-Commilla-Chittagong-Coxbazaar-Mymensingh and Rangpur en-route.
The formal flag off will take place on 1st March morning in Bongaon. On 2nd March, the team will pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi. A joint cultural function has been planned in Dhaka and Chittagong as part of this initiative.
The focal aim is to spread the golden rules of road safety among the masses of the two countries in commemoration to the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Environ which is a popular English wildlife magazine has come up with innovative car stickers focusing on tiger conservation that will be put on each car. The initiative will be aimed to generate awareness among the people about tiger conservation as Sunderbans is present in both Bangladesh and India.
