Tollywood actors Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar graced the opening of a brand new Bengali restaurant in Kolkata titled Calcutta Pi. The restaurant is located at Jodhpur Park.

The food joint is a joint initiative by Sudarshan Roy, Dr Abhijeet Banerjee, Dr Parbati Banerjee and Suchismita Roy.

The number Pi represents the varied culture of Kolkata. The aim of this food joint is to bring forward to the customers the mysteries of Kolkata’s culture. The culture of the city has absorbed so much over the past many years.

The restaurant is spread over an area of 1300 square feet and has forty four seast for the customers. The restaurant will be serving a wide variety of Bengali food and paying tribute to the rich legacy of the Bengali culture.

Some of the dishes on offer at the restaurant are Shukto, Labra, Mochar Ghonto, Ghee Roast Chicken, Phulkopir Roast, Badshahi Bhuna Chingri, Kasha Mangso and others.

Kolkata’s rich architectural heritage is another thing to look forward to. The food joint is decorated with exquisite wood furniture. The lights, texture and green windowpanes have been kept keeping in line with antique Kolkata.
The event also saw the unveiling of the logo of the restaurant.

The food joint is open from 12 noon to 10.45 pm and the food is priced at Rs 900 plus taxes for two people.
