In the presence of Dr. Pramod S Chinder, Dr. S. K. Bala, and Dr. Birendra Kumar, HCG EKO Cancer Kolkata launched Orthopedic Oncology Services.

The aim of launching this ortho-oncology service is to evaluate and treat those patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the bone and soft tissues. The department will also offer treatment for adults and children with highly trained doctors.

HCG Cancer Hospital has treated the highest number of bone tumor patients in India. Bone cancer is a rare type of cancer that is very common among younger individuals. However, with the advent of modern technologies and treatment methods, a patient can expect a better life. Seventy percent of bone cancer cases are curable if they are diagnosed early and treated with chemotherapy, tumor removal, and reconstruction.

The facility will provide personalized care in a good environment for the patients. A multi-disciplinary team will give the most effective diagnosis of the disease.
