A press meet was organized for the upcoming Bengali film Shyamali. Present at the occasion was director Jeevan Prasad, Suparna Hazra, Sneha Biswas, music director Rupendu Basu, and others.

The story of the film is set in a village in Murshidabad named Daulatabad. Shyamali was born in this village. Though she might have a dark complexion, her happy attitude makes her a favorite among the villagers. She believes the words of the priest of the village. She cannot take part in the Puja as they are from a poor family.

She meets a boy named Anurag at the banks of the river. Slowly a friendship develops between them. What happens next?

The screenplay is by Rudranil Chaudhary. The film is produced by Mallah Entertainment.

The songs in the film will be sung by Ankita Bhattacharya, Chaitali Roy, and Hriday Sarkar.

The DOP is Subhasis Hazra.

The cast of the film consists of Suparna Hazra, Sneha Biswas, Payel Sarkar, Mayurakhi Sanyal, Barun Chakraborty, Bhaskar Sanyal, Sabitri Mondol and others.

The film will be shot in different parts of Murshidabad.
