Keka is a young girl whose only dream is to become a great dancer like Subarna Roy. Since she is from a lower middle class family, Subarna Roy does not take her in her school. However she has the talent to watch and learn. So she sees her and continues learning dance. Due to her family’s economical troubles, she drives the toto during the day and performs at the Macha during night time. Can her true talent get the due recognition in due time?

A press meet was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the serial at Dasani 2 studio.

Keka is played by Lekha Chatterjee, Ritwik by Imtiaj Haque, Anjana Basu plays Subarna, Krishnakishore plays Subarna Roy’s husband and so on.

While speaking about the character, Anjana Basu said “The character is very ambitious and haughty. She is not the typical evil character that you see normally in the daily soaps. She is successful and thinks that she is the best. That is the only flaw that she has. Otherwise she loves her family and also looks at her husband for support at times too”.

Imtiaj Haque was a model before he got this break in daily soaps. “I play Subarna Roy’s son. He has a not so good relationship with his mother. The reason will be highlighted in the course of time in the serial. My character in the serial cannot tolerate any nonsense and always speaks up against the wrong deeds. By profession, I am an automobile engineer” said the actor.

Bijoyini will begin from 24^th December, Monday to Saturday at 9 pm only on Star Jalsha SD and HD.
