Antare Tumi Achho Chirodin Organized On 45th Death Anniversary Of Kazi Nazrul Islam

On the occasion of the 45th death anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, HIDCO organized a commemorative ceremony at Rajarhat Nazrul Tirtha. The event was titled ‘Antare Tumi Achho Chirodin’ (You Are In My Heart Forever). The songs of Nazrul were performed by the members of Chhayanat (Kolkata) and other renowned singers on this occasion.

An audio album with 25 Nazrul’s poems recited by Nazrul’s youngest daughter-in-law Smt. Kalyani Kazi, titled ‘Shishu-Kishorder Nazrul’ (Nazrul For Children & Adolescents), was presented by Chhayanat (Kolkata), released from Questz World, and directed by Somerita Mallik.

Along with Smt. Kalyani Kazi, NKDA Chairman Shri Debashis Sen, eminent Nazrulgeeti singer Susmita Goswami, Rabindra Tirtha, and Nazrul Tirtha’s Curator Anup Motilal, President of Chhayanat (Kolkata) Somerita Mallik, and Questz World’s Founder Swagato Gangopadhyay graced the event.

Chhayanat (Kolkata) officially unveiled a lovely set of fifteen picture postcards titled ‘Kolkatay Nazrul’ (Nazrul In Kolkata). This is a documentation of Kazi Nazrul Islam’s rented houses in Kolkata, conceived by Somerita Mallik, photography by Masudur Rahim Rubai, designed by Swagato Gangopadhyay, cover-painting by Sk. Md. Sadikuzzaman, published by Questz World and Nazrul.in and ‘Radio Nazrul’.

Nazrul Sangeet was performed at the beginning of the event. Somerita Mallik, Soma Roy Barman, Gauri Dhar, and Surupa Mallik participated in the chorus. A solo Nazrul Sangeet was performed by Susmita Goswami, Somerita Mallik, and Manjusha Chakraborty.

The poems written by Kazi Nazrul Islam were recited by Tapash Chowdhury, Indrani Lahiri, Pranami Banerjee, Sriparna Biswas, and Sonali Chatterjee. The commemoration ceremony ended with the song ‘Jay Hok’ sung by Kalyani Kazi. Sonali Chatterjee was the anchor of the program.
