Bagbazar-O-Rossogolla Utsob Executive Committee announced the first edition of Bagbazar-O-Rossogolla Utsob in the presence of eminent personalities like Dr Shashi Panja, artist Subhaprasanna, Dhiman Das, great-great grandson of Nobin Chandra Das and Treasurer of the Committee.

The main aim of this festival is to pay tribute to the inventor of Rosogolla, Nobin Chandra das and also showcase the history, heritage and culture of Bagbazar.

The three day festival will also witness great performances by Hariharan, Humsufi, Indranil Sen, Aditi Munsi, Urmimala Basu, Jagannath Basu and so on.

Adda session with Kanchan Mullick, Tanima Sen, Manasi Sinha and Biswajit Chakraborty will also be conducted.

Rosogolla centred cooking competition, quiz contest by Dr Parthasarathi Mukherjee will also be organized.

According to Dhiman Das, this is the biggest sweet festival organized in recent times. Sweets from reputed brands of Kolkata as well as from Nadia, Burdwan will also be available at this sweet festival.

The food fiesta will begin from 28^th December and continue till 30^th December at Bagbazar Gourimata Udyan.
