The CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta recently said that his friendship with filmmaker Karan Johar begun from their school days and they are friends forever.

During his exclusive interaction, Apoorva Mehta shed some lights on his friendship with Karan Johar. He said that the friendship started in 6th standard in school. One time the principal asked who wants to be Karan’s friend, and he raised his hand. They both remember this incident till date and at times laugh about it. From that day onward till now they are together.

Apoorva Mehta also added that now his conversation with Karan Johar is more about business but their friendship is rock solid.

He said that Karan was really shy in school and now there is not a better speaker than him in the entertainment industry.

Further adding Apoorva said he handles the non-creative aspect of business and Karan Johar handles the creative aspect.

Last year Karan Johar was accused of Nepotism by Kangana Ranaut and Aproova Mehta shared his thoughts on the whole issue.he said that not only star kids but people like Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar who are not from the industry have been successful. One needs to have the merit to succeed.

Talking about Dharma Productions future ventures, Apoorva said that they have started Dharmatic which is a digital platform and on the other hand they also have lots of projects ready for release. Films like Drive, Kesari, Kalank, Student of The Year 2, Good News, Brahmastra and a few untitled projects as well are in their kitty in 2019.
