UPES organized its mega career and counselling event ‘Unleash’ for the citystudents at The Park Hotel. Dr. Palash Sen, the lead singer of the iconic Indian pop band, Euphoria, interacted with more than 500 school and college students of Kolkata. He also encouraged them to stay relevant in today’s competitive world by specializing in their field of interest. Popular Radio Mirchi RJ, singer and television anchor, Mir Afsar Ali and his band enthralled the audience with their musical performance.

After successfully counselling 1500+ students during Unleash events in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur and Patna, UPES organized this mega event for the first time in Kolkata and received an overwhelming response.

‘Unleash’ provided a much-needed platform to students to interact with UPES professors, admission counsellors, alumni, and UPES industry partners so that theycan take right decisions about their higher education. They also got an opportunity to experience the beautiful UPES campus in Dehradun through virtual reality.

Palash Sen said that when he started 20 years ago, there were only two options- engineering and medicine. Today, the students have many choices available and the future of jobs are changing at a very fast pace. One cannot succeed in their career until one chooses to specialize and update oneself to stay relevant. That’s what even he did, both with his profession as a doctor and his passion as a musician.
