The book Shomo by Rahul Mitra was released in the presence of the author, Joy Goswami, Avik Majumdar, and Sourish Mitra at Oxford Bookstore.

This is the debut book of the renowned Rabindrasangeet exponent Rahul Mitra.

Rahul Mitra has been singing Tagore songs for the last 36 years. What makes him unique is his utmost devotion to pursuing Tagore’s song against all odds.

The book Shomo speaks about homosexuality. It narrates the story of two men with an age difference and how they fall in love with each other.

The author has lived with this story for almost ten years. He was writing different stories about relationships at that time. His writings are the outcome of his observation as a silent spectator for the last ten years of his life.

The book has been published by Boiwala Book Cafe, Shantiniketan.
