“I have learned from my struggles the most. They have taught me the most. I have tried to improve my shortcomings always and even have been trying that until now. I am happy with the way my career has been shaping up. Maybe it took more time than others, but I am happy that I have bounced back after every setback to be at the place where I am. I have no regrets” said Kartik Aaryan at the launch of the song Ami Je Tomar from the recently released film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in Kolkata.

This is Kartik’s biggest hit to date and the film is about to enter the 100 crores club.

The song Ami Je Tomar has been sung by Arijit Singh and the music has been composed by Priyam Chakraborty.

“The song was not released till now. I, the director Anees Bazmee, the producers, and others received messages from fans to release this song. Hence we came up with the idea to launch the song in Kolkata. I think the song has a special connection with the city and hence it deserved a launch here” said the actor.

The actor was happy with the good critical responses and positive feedback from the audience. He wished that the golden run of the film continues at the box office.

“I was narrated the story by the director as a new horror-comedy film. When I agreed to do the film, it was then that he said that this was for Bhool Bhulaiya 2. I never thought that I will be a part of this film. The first film was such a success and is among my favorite films as well” added the actor.

For this song, the actor did a Tandab for the first time. He had to do rehearsals for quite some time to master it.

The actor said that he had to spend much time mastering the Bengali language and the accent too.

When asked about the comparison with Akshay Kumar, the actor said “He is a fantastic actor and I have been always his fan. I did not want to take the stress and pressure of thinking about being compared with him. This character is different from the one that he played. The story is also different. Hence, there is no comparison and thankfully the audience has noticed that”.

Kartik also visited Howrah Bridge and interacted with his fans.
