To mark World Environment Day, Team Ideazfirst organized The India Climate Conference (ICC) to provide a collaborative platform to address the severe climate issues faced in India. This will be the National conference to be held in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi also, after the first city Kolkata on 4-5 June 2022. It was a hybrid event hosted online and at Nazrul Tirtha, New Town.  ICC is the first of its kind National Climate Conference aimed at collaborating and connecting 5 stakeholders for 5 elements of climate issues.

The panel was graced by distinguished speakers from government, industry bodies, NGOs, academia, and the press.

On this occasion, Dr.Debashis Sen, MD, WBHIDCO Ltd, Additional Chief Secretary, and Chairman – New Town Kolkata Development Authority and Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority, Managing Director – West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited spoke about sustainable initiatives implemented for New Town and Rajarhat and the future plans.

This was followed by the NGO Award nominations:

Gram Samriddhi Foundation – Ms. Archana Agarwal for soil restoration, tree plantation, and Gobar Gas Plant initiatives

Bintex – Ms. Sujata Nandi – Urban homes Plastics collection and recycling

Sabuj Mitra – Water Purification
