The Discourse 2022 Focused On The Evolution Of Modern Federalism
The Discourse 2022 – an event focusing on the evolution of ‘Modern Federalism’ in the Indian landscape and its effect on people, polity, and business, was organized at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. Veteran advocate and Member of Parliament, Mr. Kapil Sibal graced the event and presented the Keynote Address.
The veteran lawyer Mr. Kapil Sibal said, “I am concerned about the status of the judiciary today and how central organizations like the CBI are being exploited as a puppet in the hands of the administration. Hatred has turned into a tool for electoral advantage”.
Mr. Soumendra Nath Mookherjee, Advocate General State of West Bengal, said “Through debate, the constitution, a living document, ensures democracy. It was created with the intention of making India unbreakable by having numerous states and administrations there. It was regarded as the foundation for fresh thinking, advancement, and development.”
Mr. Moloy Ghatak, Minister of Department of Law, Judicial and Public Works, Government of West Bengal, Dr. H. K. Dwivedi, Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Mr. Soumendra Nath Mookherjee, Learned Advocate General for the State of West Bengal and Prof. Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti, VC of WBNUJS also delivered addresses at the event.
