A special screening of Shrimati was organized recently in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Guests like Tuhina Das, Anubhav Kanjilal, Anuradha Mukherjee, Debasish Mondal, Ranjan Ghosh, Sudeshna Roy, and others graced the special screening.

The script and direction are by Arjunn Dutta.

Shrimati is the story of a simple, fun-loving, little disorganized upper-middle-class housewife madly in love with her husband, Sri, who succumbs to society’s glitz and glamour and loses her own identity in the process. Sri’s loving family, which includes her son Kuttush, mother-in-law Pratima, sister-in-law Brishti, and maid Kajol, has always been there for her.

Sri suffers from the cliched problem of overall personality and outward appearance in today’s malevolent world, where outward appearance means everything. She becomes obsessed, almost losing her mind and identity in the process. She then realizes that, regardless of what others think, one must never forget the soul that resides within.

The cast of the film consists of Swastika Mukherjee as Shrimati, Soham Chakraborty as Anindya, Barkha Bisht Sengupta as Mallika, Kheya Chattopadhyay as Kajol, Trina Saha as Brishti, Debjani Bose as Pratima, Sudarshan Chakravorty as Dance Teacher and Uday Pratap Singh as Gym Trainer.

Swastika Mukherjee said “I am glad that the film is finally releasing after a long wait. I heard the film is running to packed halls in some places. I hope the audiences love and appreciate the film and shower their blessings”.

The music of the film has been composed by Soumya Rit.

Presented by Kan Singh Sodha, the film is produced by KSS Productions & Entertainment.

The film is running on single screens and multiplexes in Kolkata.
