US-Based Global IT Solutions Firm Maantic Opens Second Offshore Office In Kolkata
Renowned US-based global IT Solutions Company MaanticInc has announced the expansion of its business operations in Eastern India with the opening of a new state-of-the-art Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Kolkata, West Bengal. This is Maantic’s second offshore office in India after Pune.
The new center located at Technopolis in Salt Lake City, Sector 5, was inaugurated by Mr. Harry Iyer, Founder & CEO, Maantic, Mr. Shirsendu Sengupta, Kolkata Centre Head & Global Head – Digital Process Automation, Maantic, Mr. Anand Jha, Director, Strategic Alliances, Pegasystems, Mr. Debashis Sen, Chairman of Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA) and Mr. Kallol Ghosh, Founder, Offer India.
The US IT giant Maantic intends to turn Kolkata into its primary talent hub in order to better serve its international customers. The IT major is already actively attracting talent to the area, and by the end of 2023, it expects to hire 300 workers from Kolkata.
To expand its skill pool, the corporation is also emphasizing citywide campus hiring. Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, IEM, and Heritage are some of the educational institutions where campus hiring will be done.
In addition, the tech giant is relying on the Covid-induced shift in workplace attitudes, which favors remote work from people’s homes or places of residence. Leveraging that, Maantic hopes to draw in qualified professionals who want to work remotely.
They are also planning to expand their footprint in other geographies like the Middle East and Europe.
