“Minu has leadership qualities and protests against any wrong happening in front of her. It is this quality that will make her everybody’s favorite and helps her earn a great deal of respect” said Diya Basu who plays the lead role in the Colors Bangla serial Canning er Minu.

Dipankar Dey, Chaiti Ghoshal, Abanti Dutta, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the upcoming serial.

A press meet for this serial was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the serial.

Dipankar Dey said “I play the role of Mrityunjoy, an erstwhile Chief Minister. He is the elder brother of the now Chief Minister, Dhananjoy and both the brothers consult with one another to resolve many critical political problems”.

Chaiti Ghoshal plays the role of the daughter-in-law of Mrityunjoy, Ipshita. The actress said “She has political differences with her father-in-law. The serial will bring in a change in the storytelling of Bengali serials. We do not know what happens in the homes of our political leaders. This will give us a sneak peek into the homes of a leader. I hope that the audiences who complain about watching the same Saas-Bahu dramas will watch this serial and support us. We are trying to do something very different”.

The story of Canning er Minu is about Minu who hails from Canning. She is a house help at the home of the Chief Minister. Her mother earlier used to work there. But due to ill health, she is no longer working there. Minu is caring and courageous and is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She is aware of everything at the home of the Chief Minister. She is loved by everyone at the Chief Minister’s residence. However, due to a twist in fate, she accidentally becomes an MLA. What happens next?

With this serial, Colors Bangla will be showcasing the life of ordinary house help and saluting her strong will and determination.

The serial will start on 22^nd August daily at 8.30 pm only on Colors Bangla.
