63rd Annual Conference Of ISHBT “Haematocon 2022” Announced
With the advancement in science and technology, different blood disorders can be treated if discovered early. People are now aware of different lifestyle diseases, and chronic diseases. However, not many people have ideas about blood disorders like Anemia, Hemophilia, Leukocytosis, Polycythemia vera, Sickle cell disease, Thalassemia, and others.
A press conference was organized to announce the 63rd Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Haematology & Blood Transfusion (ISHBT) titled Haematocon 2022. The main aim of this conference was to raise awareness about different blood disorders.
Gracing the press conference were Prof Rabindra Kumar Jena, Dr. Tuphan Kanti Dolai, Dr. Maitreyee Bhattacharya, Dr. Santanu Basu, and others.
The theme is Haematology: Bench/Basic/Beyond. The conference will discuss about different blood disorders and diseases and share ideas on the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment that will help in better patient management in India. Basic and new avenues for controlling and preventing different blood diseases will be deliberated.
The focus is on blood disorders of public health importance: Anemia, Sickle Cell Disease, and Others.
More than 1500 doctors from various parts of India will take part in this conference.
22 international speakers will take part in this conference like Prof Inusa Baba, UK, Prof Shaji Kumar, Mayo Clinics, USA, Prof Phillip Scheinberg, USA, Prof Philip Kuriakose, USA, Prof Kalpna Gupta, USA, Prof Vishal Jayakar, UK, Prof Ashutosh Wechalekar, UK and others.
80 top national faculty and representatives of ICMR, Delhi, National Health Academy, and MOTA of Govt of India will also take part in this annual conference.
400 research papers will be deliberated and discussed.
12 workshops will be conducted in different institutions in the city for the proper training of young hematologists regarding advancements in diagnosis and management.
A Walk for Haematology will be organized on 5th November 2022.
The conference will be organized from 3rd to 6th November at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.
