Gracing the occasion were Mr. Debashis Dhar, Group Vice President, Business Development, ILS Hospitals, Dr. Sanjay Kant Mishra, COO, ILS Hospitals, Mr. Sumit Sharma, Operation Head, ILS Hospitals and Mr. Ananya Kishore Ghosh, Unit Head Business Development, ILS Hospitals.
“In keeping with this year’s theme, “Education to Protect Tomorrow,” we organized this awareness walk to raise people’s understanding of the significance of combating diabetes. Family support is crucial for maintaining a good life with diabetes,” said Mr. Debashis Dhar, Group Vice President, Business Development at ILS Hospitals.
Because of their sedentary lifestyles, people nowadays are more likely to develop diabetes without a family history of the disease. It can impact a number of important organs and lead to major problems like kidney failure, blindness, limb loss, etc. One may prevent acquiring diabetes by modifying our food, increasing exercise, and changing our lifestyle.
The awareness walk attracted almost 500 participants. The walk began at 4 p.m. at ILS Hospitals in Howrah and ended thereafter passing under the Salkia Flyover and down Howrah Station Road and Salkia School Road. Every participant walked while toting a digital candle. Participants in the walk held placards outlining various facets of diabetes.
