At Lions Children Corner at Deshapriya Park, the Lions Club International District presented the 10th edition of the “Gurukul Awards,” which define excellence in education.

The inauguration was graced by Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Imran Zaki, Nadimul Haque, Sudha Jaiswal, Anand Kumar Jain, Pawan Patodia, Ashissh Jhunjhunwalla, and others.

The event was organized by the Lions Club of Kolkata, Mother Teresa Sarani in association with the Lions Club of Calcutta Kankurgachhi, powered by FACES & DUCKBACK.

Lions Gurukul Awards was conceived and conceptualized by its Founder Chairman, Lion Ashissh Jhunjhunwalla in the year 2007 under the banner of Lions Club of Kolkata Mother Teresa Sarani, when the 1st edition of Gurukul Awards was organized. It is only one of its kind in Eastern India since then.

Teachers have a crucial role in educating one person, making education an essential instrument in the evolution of human civilization. The cornerstone for building a supportive and productive learning environment is the relationship between the teacher and the students. As a result, “Gurukul Awards” are granted to individuals who have succeeded in maintaining this revered tradition, honoring the link between the teacher (Guru) and pupil (Shishya). The “Gurukul Awards” recognize not simply exceptional performance, but also a performance that is consistent over time.

There are more than 65 categories of awards in different categories like Montessori, Schools, Colleges, Private Institutes, Board Toppers, Professional Exams Toppers, Life Time Achievement Award Etc.
