The press meet of the upcoming Zee Bangla serial Tomar Khola Hawa was graced by Samrat Ghosh, Chief Cluster Officer – East, Zee Bangla, Navnita Chakraborty, Business Head, Zee Bangla, Kheyali Dastidar, Subhankar Saha, Swastika Dutta and others.

Tomar Khola Hawa is the story of Jhilmil and Abir. Jhilmil is a lively and carefree girl. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she married Abir and becomes a young mother-in-law and the head of the family. What happens next?

Subhankar Saha will be seen in the role of Abir while Swastika Dutta will be seen as Jhilmil.

This is Swastika’s comeback in serials after one and a half years.

“Jhilmil is a lively girl. She likes to break rules and she cannot do any work properly. However, she is a talented ventriloquist. This is a character that I have not played in any of the other serials that I have done to date. I play a young mother-in-law who does not have the slightest idea of what are the duties of a mother-in-law” said Swastika Dutta.

The actress also said, “I had to train for two months to grasp ventriloquism. It is quite difficult. We all speak with our inner selves. Tuni is like Jhilmil’s inner voice with who she shares her troubles and worries”.

Kheyali Dastidar plays the role of Abir’s mother, Chaya Debi in the serial. “She is the kind of woman who likes to do those things that her children might do. She likes to eat chocolates and pickles. She likes Jhilmil. But she does not reveal it. It is indeed an interesting role and the audience will surely enjoy this serial” said the actress.

Subhankar while speaking about his character Abir said “He is a reserved person and maintains his life in a routine manner. He is just the opposite of Jhilmil. It will be interesting to see how love develops between these two characters”.

The new serial will begin from 12^th December at 9.30 pm, Monday to Friday on Zee Bangla.
