Adoption Camp Adopt-A-Pet Organized By Furrfolks
Together with Prabha Khaitan Foundation and their program Karuna, Furrfolks, a Kolkata-based organization dedicated to the care of stray animals, aimed to assist more animals in shelters in finding loving, permanent homes. The adoption camp “Adopt-a-pet” was being organized by the two organizations and took place on January 8, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. in The Common Room café next to Southern Avenue.
This project helped Adopt-a-Pet in expanding its shelter support programs and developing creative strategies for finding new homes for more shelter pets. This was the third chapter of Furrfolks’ Adopt-a-Pet. Indie puppies and kittens were available for adoption and allowed new pet parents to adopt them. They were well-groomed and immunized.
For the first 10 independent babies, one can adopt a pet and bring it in for free checkups and vaccinations. Anindya Chatterjee was present at the event as a special guest.
“The three most crucial elements of good animal care are a rescue, treatment, and adoption. Therefore, successful adoption is crucial to this process. If not, there won’t be any openings for additional housing in foster homes or shelters. For our Adopt-a-Pet chapter 3 adoption event for independent cats and dogs, we are thrilled to partner with the Prabha Khaitan Foundation. Everyone is welcome to the camp and we extend a warm welcome to the furry members of their families” said co-founder Sk Basit.
