KFC India has opened the first KFC Smart Restaurant in West Bengal in New Alipore, Kolkata, in an effort to solidify the company’s commitment to providing a better, digital-first customer experience. The state’s first fully digital restaurant is equipped with cutting-edge self-ordering kiosks. Customers at this restaurant are encouraged to order themselves and pay online, making it easier & faster for them to get their favorite Bucket of KFC Chicken. This restaurant is equipped to enable numerous payment ways.

KFC India has been on a purposeful journey from CX to DX – boosting customer experience through digital methods – in light of the fact that consumers are becoming more and more “digital-first” in all aspects of their lives. The recently opened Smart Restaurant in New Alipore features a modern interior design and simple ordering kiosks. The KFC Smart Restaurant in New Alipore is meant to enhance the dining experience while delivering increased convenience, much like all other KFC Smart Restaurants.

At the same time, the restaurant retains in a distinctive way the area’s early art-deco history. The top-level seating area features new artwork that captures the elegance of traditional Bengali culture and planted balconies. This restaurant honors the legendary original celebrity Chef, Colonel Sanders, with nostalgic black and white images highlighting turning points in his quest to create the World’s Tastiest Chicken. The décor is conspicuously red, white, and black.

The New Alipore new Smart Restaurant substitutes user-friendly ordering kiosks with several digital payment choices and an associated QR code for quick and simple mobile-based payments for the customary ordering counter. Consumers will also be able to place an order right at their table by using the KFC Smart App on their phones to scan the QR code. After their meal is ready, they can pick it up. Order status can be followed up on using Customer Display Screens (CDS) in the pickup area. Order control is further aided by having separate pick-up counters for dine-in and takeout.
