At the Avidipta 2 construction site, Bengal Peerless Housing Development Co. Ltd. honored female construction workers as part of its celebration of International Women’s Day. About 12 employees received awards for their commitment, consistent effort, and contribution to the project.

The guests of honor for the event were Ketan Sengupta, CEO of Bengal Peerless Housing Development Company Ltd, Sudeshna Roy, eminent filmmaker and honorable chairperson of WB Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Dipannita Acharya, prolific singer in the genre of Folk Music and Dibyendu Barua, India Chess Grand Master.

Ketan Sengupta CEO of Bengal Peerless Housing Development Co Ltd. said, “Women’s contributions should be valued every day rather than just on a certain day. This project was completed after a rigorous lockdown phase during which the female construction workers overcame adverse circumstances and gave their utmost to get the job done. Grand Master Dibyendu Barua said he would want to acknowledge the efforts of all women in society for their perseverance and zeal in overcoming all obstacles, particularly those who collaborate with men in their day-to-day jobs.

On the occasion, Dipannita Acharya sang a few verses to honor womanhood on this important day.
