With the debut of Reliance Jewels Akshaya Tritya Collection “THANJAVUR”, Lakme Fashion Week in association with FDCI and in cooperation with renowned designer Monisha Jaising, brought the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur region to life. The display at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai highlighted Monisha Jaising’s signature “Luxury pret” and “Couture” looks, which were exquisitely complimented by the grandeur of painstakingly handcrafted fine jewelry by Reliance Jewels.

Monisha’s showcase, which was inspired by a wedding on a tropical island, promises to take the audience on a journey via tropical sunsets, wedding wows, imagination, and introspection, where resort wear easily blends with jewels and couture. The collection included a variety of styles that expertly combine jewelry with couture, producing the epitome of luxury and elegance.

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu presented “THANJAVUR,” the newest Reliance Jewels creation, on the runway. Taapsee has the royal appearance of a queen thanks to her heritage neckpiece from the Thanjavur collection, which was inspired by the Golden Age of the Chola Empire in Thanjavur.

Thanjavur, which is located in Tamil Nadu, is a significant site for South Indian temples, architecture, and art. In the past, the city served as the capital of the Chola Empire and was governed by a number of dynasties, including the Pandyas, the Vijayanagar empire, the Madurai Nayaks, the Thanjavur Nayaks, and the British empire.
