The teaser of Niharika (In the Mist) has been released recently.

The film The Mist tells the story of a lady who overcame a troubled and abusive childhood, sought out her gender identity as she matured, and welcomed a house in the middle of nowhere as her final option for a secure place to call home. It tells the tale of a different melancholy person who lives outside of the fast-paced city.

Directed by Indrasis Acharya, it is presented by Sreema Creation.

Speaking about the film, the director said “The purpose of this dramatic tale of female empowerment is to depict the suffering of the gender identity crisis and the inability to be accepted for one’s own decisions. With the support of the surrounding natural beauty and her home, this is a tale of a modern woman who believes in love without any restrictions or boundaries. With the house and location serving as the film’s main focal point and raising important issues about womanhood and identity crises in the current human context, we aim to present a different character of love who becomes stoic in terms of adjusting to a new life”.

Produced by Pastel Entertainments & Media Pvt. Ltd, the film is co-produced by Adverb Movies Pvt. Ltd in association with Cherrypix Movies Pvt. Ltd.

The cast of the film consists of Shilajit Mazumdar, Anuradha Mukherjee, Anindya Sengupta, Mallika Mazumdar, Priyanka Guha, Rajeswari Paul, Sashi Guha, Juin Bagchi, Amit Chakraborty, Indira Mukherjee, Moloy Rakhhit, Prabal Mukherjee and Srabani Roy.

The music has been composed by Joy Sarkar.

The script is by Indrasis Acharya.

The film is slated for release on 21st July 2023.
