21st Annual Prize Day Organized On 23rd Foundation Day Of The Heritage School
The Heritage School in Kolkata celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day to commemorate 22 years of outstanding academic performance. The school held its 21st Annual Prize Day Ceremony to make the occasion noteworthy and memorable.
Mr. Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary, of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), attended the entire ceremony as the chief guest.
Mr. Gerry Arathoon outlined some of the new initiatives the Council is pursuing to ensure that children receive high-quality education in the years following NEP 2020 during the event. He also praised the development of The Heritage School over the years and complimented Ms. Manya Gupta, the school’s All India ISC Topper this year, as well as Mr. Apratim Gangopadhyay, who had achieved All India Merit rank 3 in ICSE.
The Heritage School’s Chairman of the School Managing Committee, Shri Vikram Swarup, recounted some of the fond memories from the school’s beginnings. The chairman of the Heritage Group of Institutions, Shri H.K. Chaudhary, spoke about the group’s goals for school education, higher education, and beyond. The other school trustee members also expressed their gratitude to the staff, faculty, and students for their efforts in building a “School with a Difference” and for making this significant occasion possible. The prize ceremony, which the pupils had been anticipating for a while, was also experienced by them.
The Sajjan Bhajanka Award of Excellence in Education was launched at the event and was presented to Ms. Manya Gupta, All India ISC Topper 2023 from the School. It consisted of a token of appreciation amounting to Rs. 1 lakhs presented by Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Founding Trustee of the Heritage Group of Institutions and Secretary of Kalyan Bharti Trust. The Principal’s Trophy was also given to Ms. Manya Gupta. Vikram Swarup, Chairman of the School Managing Committee and Vice Chairman, of Heritage Group of Institutions, presented the Chairman’s Award of Excellence along with a token of appreciation amounting to Rs. 50000/- to Mr. Apratim Gangopadhyay, ICSE School Topper and All India Merit position 3.
The event also witnessed the launch of the School’s annual magazine ‘Vrittant’ for the year 2023.
The program was also addressed by Ms. Runa Chatterjee, Headmistress, of The Heritage School, Mr. Darryl Christopher Christensen, Headmaster of The Heritage School, parents of the School, and teachers.
