Sri Lanka Welcomes Tourism To Explore Its Beautiful Destinations
As one of the most popular worldwide destinations, Sri Lanka Tourism has been a platform for the enormous travel business in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Tourism is hosting a series of Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshows in the prestigious cities of Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune in an effort to significantly boost its efforts to woo tourists from India.
The Kolkata Roadshow was organized in the Taj, City Centre.
The Kolkata event was addressed by – Mr. Nalin Perera, Board Member of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Director General of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, and Mr. Thisum Jayasuriya, Chairman, of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau.
At the exhibition, 36 Sri Lankan travel and tourism organizations as well as almost 200 Indian tour operators made up of travel agencies, MICE, hotels, corporates, and other entities displayed their country’s major tourist attractions. The Sri Lankan delegation met with important figures in the travel and tourism sector to examine travel options for Indian tourists.
Sri Lanka Tourism is dedicated to broadening the range of travel-related goods and events that will appeal to all types of vacationers, whether they are budget backpackers or high-end spenders who also want to engage in adventure travel and discover uncharted territory.
The Roadshow also organized a raffle draw that offered tours to Sri Lanka, hotels, etc. as gifts to the visitors.
Sri Lanka Tourism promises the best tourist experience and assures Indian tourists and investors that the country is open for business and all possible measures have been taken to ensure the safety and security of all visiting the country for leisure and business.
The Kolkata Roadshow was followed by Ahmedabad on 27th September and Pune on 29th September 2023.
