The trailer of Ektu Shore Boshun, directed by filmmaker Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and produced by Big Cat Films, Europa Media Entertainment G.P. Entertainment LLP & Dark Energy was released recently.

The launch was graced by the talented cast of the film.

The film is based on Bonophool’s story.

Through the quirky life of Guddu, portrayed by Ritwick Chakraborty, Ektu Shore Boshun transports us to a charming Bengali town called Begunbagicha, where time appears to have stopped. In a community full of oddball personalities, Guddu’s main comfort comes from his childhood love, Piu, played by Isha Saha.

The narrative intensifies when Guddu decides to steal the only family relic and flee to Kolkata with the aid of his buddy Aalpin, a penny stock trader with his agenda. His objective was the home of his distant cousin Fotke Da, a successful man with a comfortable position at an MNC. Guddu’s only objective is to implore Fotke Da to give him a job. Despite the humorous antics, Guddu encounters obstacles in his job search. The narrative only reaches a breathtaking climax when Fotke Da, constantly pushed by his wife Urmi, consents to bring Guddu to his MNC. What happens next?

“The thing that most surprised me was how timeless Bonophool’s story is—even after all these years. It addresses the problems that today’s youngsters are facing, including the current unemployment crisis. I think the audience can watch a Social Comedy with a deep message about the societal conditions going around us”.

The cast of Ektu Shore Boshun features actors like Paran Bandopadhyay, Rajatava Dutta, Paoli Dam, Payel Sarkar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi Sinha, Biswanath Basu, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, Loknath Dey, Debranjan Nag, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rajarshi De among others.

Rajatava Dutta said “This is a laugh riot. This is my third or fourth film with the director. The other cast members are my friends and I had a good time shooting the film. We had fun shooting the film and we hope that the audience will experience the same level of fun when they watch it”.

Paoli Dam and Ishaa Saha urged the audience to watch the film with their families and revel in the laugh riot.

The music is composed by Debojyoti Mishra. The songs are composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharya, Debajyoti Mishra, Anindya Chattopadhyay, Fiddler’s Green, and Cizzy. The songs are sung by Arijit Singh, Anwesha Dutta Gupta, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rupankar Bagchi, Dipannita Acharya, and Cizzy.

 Kamaleswar Mukherjee has penned the screenplay and dialogue.

Ektu Shore Boshun will be releasing on November 24, 2023.
