Emami Group will complete 50 years of its glorious journey in 2024. The brand was started in 1974 under the leadership of two childhood friends RS Agarwal and RS Goenka.
A special logo showcasing the founders and the vision of the group “Making lives happier” was unveiled at the event.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries like Prosenjit Chatterjee, R S Goenka, Co-Founder and Joint Chairman, Emami Group, Richa Agarwal, EO-Emami Art and Chairperson of Kolkata Centre for Creativity, Mohan Goenka, Vice-Chairman and Whole-time director, Emami Limited and others.
The dignitaries also unveiled a sculpture titled The Earth Keeper at HIDCO Eco Park, Kolkata. The sculpture has been crafted by artist and sculptor Jagannath Panda. The installation made of bronze features a deer with a hoof on a stack of books titled Encyclopaedia of Desire.
Speaking at the event, Prosenjit Chatterjee said “I am glad that I could be a part of this amazing event. I remember many years ago during a discussion it was brought to light that I have not done any campaign for Emami. I asked them that I would love to be a part of one and immediately I was made a part of one. Emami Group is like family to me. Hence I can openly make such demands to them. I feel proud of their amazing achievements”.
The actor who completed 40 years of his acting journey said that he could understand the amount of effort that the group had to give to earn the respect of the customers. He also hoped that he could be a part of the 75 years celebrations as well.
As part of its 50th-year completion in 2024, the Group will also organize activities like the Legacy cum experience centre in Kolkata, the release of a book on Emami, an Art camp, a Conclave, and Talk sessions by eminent speakers.
