“I Will Agree To An OTT Show When It Has An Amazing Story”-Bhumi Pednekar
Bhumi Pednekar, a well-known actress in Bollywood, is amazed by the quality of content produced by streaming services and is searching for a big project to debut on them.
Bhumi is one of the most influential actors in India right now, as seen by her body of work to date. She will only jump into streaming if she is approached with a fascinating idea.
“The standard that streaming content has both internationally and in India is amazing. Although I’ve been considering going digital for some time, I know that my streaming debut needs to be something thrilling and unique from all the amazing films I make” said the actress.
“A longer format allows an actor to inhabit their role and produce something that has the potential to be iconic. As a viewer, I truly believe that even platforms and the content that they put out are disruptive. I watch a lot of released content and I’m a fan of many shows. Additionally, I think that an actor such as myself would attempt to do something that truly spoke to me. I do not doubt that I will discover anything to support my beliefs” added Bhumi.
Bhumi said, “I was always very clear that I needed to do something distinct from the films that I make for my debut into the digital world. I consider myself fortunate to have always had the chance to push myself and step beyond my comfort zone thanks to my films. Therefore, in that scenario, everything I do needs to be something I’ve never done for a film. And I believe I’ll seize the opportunity if it presents itself. For the past few years, I’ve been excited about doing a longer format, and I’ve dug into it, but I’ve never really found anything that made me ecstatic. And I’m hoping to connect with anything”.
Bhumi will be next seen in Redchillies’ Bhakshak & Mudassar Aziz’s Mere Husband Ki Biwi.
