At their Balaram Bose Ghat Road office, the Prabha Khaitan Foundation celebrated Vasant Panchami like every year. Following the worshipping of Bagdevi, Jai Hind Bhavan hosted a unique classical music performance by Padma Shri Shubha Mudgal.

Prabha Khaitan Foundation Executive Trustee Anindita Chatterjee, Ehsaas woman of Kolkata Malika Varma, Gouri Basu, Subodh Sarkar, and others graced the occasion.

Malika Varma welcomed everyone to the event and spoke on behalf of the organization at the outset. Prominent classical musicians Rashid Khan and writer Usha Kiran Khan passed away recently. At the start of the ceremony, they held a minute of silence in their honor.

Initially, Saraswati Bandana was the artist Shubha Mudgal ji’s initial offering. Additionally, the performer sang unique folk tunes from her birthplace. Basant repeatedly reappeared in her song and performance. Next, Nazrul Geeti, Bhajan was performed by musician Payal Kar.

A great musical celebration on Saraswati Puja indeed!!
