Whistling Woods’ Convocation Celebrates 400 Excellent Students
Celebrating innovation, talent, and education, Whistling Woods International (WWI), the standard-bearer of excellence in media and creative arts education, hosted the 16th Convocation. Over 400 graduating students—the up-and-coming talent that will be reshaping the media and entertainment industry—were honored for their artistic and academic accomplishments as the Convocation took place.
The occasion also saw the coveted Maestro Awards given to acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan, recognized for his cinematic genius, and veteran actor Shabana Azmi, for her powerful performances. Both recipients were recognized for their contributions to Indian cinema.
A special accolade was given to Ayaz Memon, a well-known figure in sports media, in appreciation of his noteworthy contributions to the industry. Vivek Krishnani, CEO of MovieVerse Studios, Ayaz Memon, renowned sports writer and journalist, and Sameer Nair, CEO of Applause Entertainment, served as the event’s keynote speaker. Their powerful remarks resonated well with the graduating class. Their knowledge and experiences provided the students with crucial direction as they started their careers, acting as a useful road map.
Along with other dignitaries, Ravi Gupta, Dean of WWI, and Rahul Puri, Director of Academics, WWI, awarded the graduates their certificates. Students from all schools received awards, and the Class of 2023 valedictorians were honored.
Whistling Woods International has planted almost 400 trees in honor of each graduating student on this unique occasion, demonstrating its continued commitment to sustainable practices and advancing its continuous efforts for environmental responsibility.
WWI’s 16th Convocation was an extraordinary celebration of creativity and achievement thanks to the convergence of talent, recognition, and inspiration.
