“A Woman Who Is The Agent Of Change Is Rare In Indian Cinema”-Bhumi Pednekar
Bhumi Pednekar, a young actress in Bollywood, is soaking up all the praise she is receiving for her outstanding performance in Bhakshak. All eyes are praising Bhumi for her amazingly subtle yet spectacular performance as a daring journalist taking on a network involved in girl trafficking in this thriller!
Bhumi is ecstatic that Bhakshak portrays a woman as the change agent and the hero. What makes Bhakshak a successful entertainer is a lady who puts her life in danger to defend and uplift other women.
“As an actor, nothing is more joyful than receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback about one’s performance from the film industry, media, and audience. I have a deep emotional connection to my work and hold a particular place in my heart for each film I do. Because of its potent message and the fact that I play a woman who is a change agent, Bhakshak is, in my opinion, the best film” said Bhumi.
“That is uncommon in Indian cinema as very few films empower a woman to be a leader of change. I have always supported portraying strong, nationalist women who inspire other women to speak out against injustice and patriarchy and to fight up for their demands and rights” added the actress.
Bhumi said, “I am grateful to Red Chillies, writer Jyotsana Nath, and my director Pulkit for providing me with a project that allows me to act from the heart. The affection that is being shown to me makes me very happy. It indicates that I have chosen a project that resonated with people. It also indicates that people are interested in seeing me tell forward-thinking, important stories”.
We hope that Bhumi continues acting in such great films in the future.
