Arokkhoniya To Depict Fascinating Social History Of Bengal
The press conference of the upcoming Bengali film Arokkhoniya took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.
The story of the film is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s story. It tells the tale of a girl whose marriage was late. The story was written in 1916. It is a romantic tale with a fascinating social history that takes place in rural Bengal.
Presented by The White Horse Entertainment, the film is directed by Yasmin Ibrahim and Sarbajit Mondal.
Biswajit Chakraborty, Tamal Roychowdhury, Soma Banerjee, Raju Majumdar, Debasish Ganguly, and others will be seen in important roles in the film.
Speaking at the press conference, Soma Banerjee said “This is my first time working with the director duo. I had worked on this story before for an Aakash Aath serial. However, this is the first time that I have worked on a film with this story. The location that the director duo selected attracted me very much. It was as if the place was there for us to complete the shooting. It very well matched with the details in the story”.
The film is slated for release on 26th April.
