O Abhagi is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyaya’s short story ‘Abhagir Swargo’.

The premiere of this film was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Abhagi is a poor villager of lower caste who was abandoned by her husband. Even though she and her son Kangali reside in a little mud home, they are content. When Abhagi was younger, she saw Yamraj in a play and was enthralled with his strength and charisma. His remarks had an impact on her. Yamraj only brings honorable women on his chariot with him after they have been burned at the stake. Ever since Abhagi has been having dreams of fire from her son after her death. Is her wish fulfilled?

The writer and director of this film is Anirban Chakraborty.

Presented by Swabhumi Entertainment, the film is produced by Dr. Prabir Bhaumik.

The cast of the film consists of Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Subrata Dutta, Debjani Chatterjee, Ishaan Mazumder, Sayan Ghosh, Jiniya Pande, Krishno Banerjee, and Sourav Halder.

The music has been composed by Mousumi Chatterjee.
