Ayushmann Khurrana, the national ambassador of UNICEF India and a youth icon, visited the UNICEF headquarters in New York to film a global campaign aimed at World Immunisation Week.

“Visiting the UNICEF headquarters to film a very significant global campaign on the importance of immunization was an honor. As UNICEF’s National Ambassador for India, I have had the good fortune to use my platform to advocate for people’s rights on important matters. The least I can do to ensure that as many people as possible hear this crucial message is to be included in the effort to spread awareness of the advantages of immunisation” said Ayushmann.

He said, “I pledge to participate in as many UNICEF campaigns as possible. I firmly believe in the remarkable work that UNICEF conducts, both domestically and internationally. I have the great fortune of working directly with the India team, which put forth endless effort to help those in need within my country. I aspire to have a lifetime relationship with UNICEF and am proud to represent them everywhere in the world”.

Ayushmann also met with UNICEF Director of Global Communication and Advocacy, Naysán Sahba, and other top officials in UNICEF’s New York Headquarters to talk about important projects and potential future partnerships. Ayushmann’s steadfast dedication to his role as a UNICEF National Ambassador is demonstrated by this visit.

Ayushmann plans to fervently promote vaccine knowledge by emphasizing how illnesses like smallpox and polio have been eradicated, dramatically lowering infant mortality rates, because of the cooperative efforts of medical professionals and families worldwide.
