In honor of India’s 78th Independence Day, JIS Group organized the “Shadinatar Choloman Mohotsav” Independence Day Freedom Walk. Over 2,000 eager students took part in the walk, which started at the Guru Nanak Campus in Sodepur and ended at Nilganj in Kolkata. This colorful celebration honors the sacrifices that have influenced the history of the country and pays a moving tribute to the spirit of freedom, unity, and wellness.

The freedom walk was graced by eminent dignitaries like Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, and Bidyut Majumdar, Deputy Director, JIS Group.

“The Independence Day Walk is a remarkable occasion that showcases the collective spirit of our students and the entire JIS fraternity. Witnessing such tremendous engagement is incredibly encouraging as it demonstrates the ingrained patriotism and dedication to nation-building that we work so hard to teach to our children. We commemorate not only the independence of our country but also our common goal of an improved and more robust India as we stroll together” said Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director of the JIS Group.

Students, instructors, and staff from the JIS Group’s numerous educational institutions came together for the walk. The purpose of the event was to instill in the younger generation a sense of pride in their country and a sense of communal responsibility, stressing the value of mental and physical health in creating a stronger India. A 500-foot-tall Indian flag was flown during the occasion in honor of our brave independence fighters.
