SPK Jain Futuristic Academy held a special family-focused event called “Fam Fiesta” to commemorate the birth anniversary of famed educator Maria Montessori. This unique festival was created to honor Montessori’s contributions to education by providing a day full of thoughtful and engaging activities that united families and promoted creativity among all age groups.

The event was marked by the esteemed presence of Sri Jaydeep Patwa, Secretary of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, and Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly, Principal of the Academy.

“Maria Montessori’s approach to education is not just about learning in the classroom. It is about fostering a love for discovery, creativity, and independence in every aspect of life. We hope to instill these values in the core of our community through Fam Fiesta, enabling families to enjoy the joy of learning together” said Dr. Ganguly.

There were several activities for people of all ages at Fam Fiesta. The Art Corner provided opportunities for artistic expression through pottery, vegetable printing, and balloon splashing. While the sensory area featured treasure hunts and sandpits to stimulate children’s senses, practical life skills exercises like buttoning shirts and folding garments helped them become more independent.

The event was energized by music and dance activities, while storytelling and Zumba Steps encouraged creativity and movement. The robotics and chess-focused problem-solving section promoted creativity and rational thought.

Families gathered for Fam Fiesta, a touching and instructive event, to meaningfully and joyfully celebrate Maria Montessori’s legacy. Reiterating the principles that Maria Montessori championed throughout her life, SPK Jain Futuristic Academy is committed to fostering a love of learning via creative and engaging programs.
