As the creator of the Subhadeep Mitra Couture Brand. renowned fashion designer Subhadeep Mitra has officially unveiled the much-awaited 2024 Puja Collection. The renowned heritage site of Shobhabazar Rajbari in Kolkata served as the backdrop for the brand shoot for this collection.

The primary goal of the work was to combine these traditional attires with the grandeur of a historical Rajbari, with the collection aiming to commemorate the essence of Bengali nobility.

With just a few days remaining until Bengal’s most anticipated holiday, Durga Puja, this collection pays homage to the state’s rich cultural legacy.

The couture brand is introducing traditional ethnic apparel for males, such as kurtas and dhotis, for this year’s Puja. Women can accessorize in sophisticated sarees. The idea behind the photo session was to create a modern yet classic style by fusing traditional ethnic attire with contemporary elements.

The shoot saw the presence of several fresh and professional models. Five celebrity models collaborating with the brand were Mouboni Sarkar, Amitava Das, Sayanti Das, Sayantani Majumdar, and Arkoprabha Bhattacharya.

Deeptama handled the makeup, and manager Soumya Samaddar oversaw the entire operational management.

The theme of the shoot was Story of Craftsmanship. The artist aimed to maintain the legacy of Bengali crafts, including hand printing, kantha stitch, tant, and baluchari, while showcasing them to a modern audience in a fresh way.

Other models who contributed to the shoot include Moutrisha Chakraborty, Arun Singh, Deepanwita Sen, Rohini Bhattacharjee, Kamolika Das, Souvik Roy, Srishti Ray, Rupsha Sardar, Sayanti Roy, Saptarshi Chowdhury, Supriyo Mukherjee, Binita Ghosh, Akash Shaw, and Akash Bharti.
