Anwesha Hazra, who plays a strong young woman with aspirations of becoming a doctor, comes from a lower middle-class household in the story Anandi. Her father’s illness forces her to work as a nurse to support her family, thus her goals are placed on wait. Anandi meets her hero, the well-known cardiac surgeon Dr. Adidev Lahiri (Writwik Mukherjee), while working for a wealthy family of physicians. There were a lot of miscommunications in their early relationship, especially after Anandi’s father died tragically during an operation that Dr. Lahiri was supervising.

Anandi finds herself forced into a marriage she never desired, as fate would have it. But as she explores her new life more, she learns the truth—that Dr. Lahiri was mistakenly held responsible for her father’s passing. Anandi sets out on a journey to obtain justice and clear Dr. Lahiri’s name with tenacity and fortitude.

Anwesha Hazra said that she was excited as well as nervous about her new role in Anandi. She hoped that the audience would shower her with love just like they had done before.

Anandi is produced by Nini Chini’s Mamma’s Productions, owned by Nilanjanaa.

The serial is directed by Gopal Chakraborty.
