To propel the expansion of its two-wheeler category, Uber Moto, throughout the nation, Uber announced a strategic technology integration with Shadowfax, the biggest two-wheeler logistics fleet in the nation and a top supplier of rapid parcel delivery services & value-added solutions.

With more than 2 lakh active two-wheelers now powering Uber Moto as well, this industry-first relationship will further establish Shadowfax’s position as the most diversified Third Party Logistics (3PL) supplier. Uber intends to improve reliability for customers looking for quick and reasonably priced bike-sharing choices for their commute while broadening its pool of drivers and service coverage by incorporating Shadowfax’s fleet.

The integration, which is currently LIVE in several cities, is setting new standards for Uber in the dynamic field of ridesharing growth. In addition to opening up a sizable supply pool for Uber Moto, it is assisting in the creation of new income options for drivers who collaborate with Shadowfax. With the help of Shadowfax, which has operations in more than 2500 cities and 18,000 pin codes throughout India, Uber will also be able to start Uber Moto operations in many new locations where it is not already present.

3P Partnership operational style

When users of the Uber App request an UberMoto:

There won’t be any changes to the rider’s typical Uber trip experience. They might be paired with Shadowfax drivers. These trips will be completed by Shadowfax drivers using the Shadowfax driver app;

Uber Moto rides and other deliveries are now available to Shadowfax drivers, who can smoothly switch between them while using the Shadowfax app.

Uber is using 3P Tech integration for the first time in India; the famous yellow taxis in New York also employ this same technology. Uber’s third-party (3P) application programming interfaces (APIs) have been connected with Shadowfax, allowing Uber trips to be routed to the Shadowfax driver app at the backend. The Uber app will still be used as the booking interface for riders.
