Mahindra‘s Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) opened a state-of-the-art dealership in Kolkata for West Bengal, adding 14 service bays that can service more than 28 vehicles per day. The dealership also offers driver lodging, 24-hour breakdown assistance, and AdBlue availability, following a robust year-over-year growth of over 46% in business volume in F’24.

Mr. Vinod Sahay, President and Chief Purchase Officer of AFS, President of the Aerospace and Defence Sector, President of MTBD & CE, and Group Executive Board Member, spoke at the event and highlighted MTBD’s robust presence in the Indian CV market, ranking third in several sectors. To improve partners, customers, and the entire ecosystem, he emphasized the opening of new dealerships and the BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO, JAYO ILCV, and CRUZIO range of trucks and buses, which come with Best-in-Class Mileage Guarantee and Double Service Guarantee. These additions further solidified their market position.

With the introduction of the new Mileage Guarantee “Get More Mileage or Give The Truck Back” for the BS6 OBD II line of trucks, Mr. Sahay highlighted the exceptional technological capabilities of their vehicle and promised unrivaled value by boosting carriers’ profitability. The cutting-edge 3S facility and solid dealer partners, he continued, will raise the bar for customer care and grow the MTB industry.

The only CV truck models in India that offer double service warranties, including the highest fuel efficiency, are the Mahindra BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO, and JAYO models. The uptime of MTBD’s breakdown service is also guaranteed; if the vehicle is not returned to service within 48 hours, the company will reimburse the customer Rs. 1000 per day. Additionally, the dealer workshop or corporation will pay 3000/-per day for a guaranteed 36-hour turnaround time for the car. The foundation of MTBD is client-centricity and ongoing product innovation, which has enabled these assurances.

In the past six years, Mahindra Truck and Bus have taught more than 1,100 technicians at its Regional Training Center in Belur Math, which is managed in collaboration with Ramkrishna Mission Institute. A Fast Response Center in Kolkata provides good quality spare parts supply. This has been operating for the past 12 years and is spread over an 8000 sq ft facility.
