The biggest poster launch of the upcoming Bengali film Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale took place at City Centre 1, Salt Lake in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

The thriller explores the lives of four Kolkata Police officers as they look into a string of killings that are causing the city to tremble. The men’s personal lives are stretched and strained by the continuous upheaval as the scheme deepens.

The director of the film is Pratim D. Gupta.

Tota Roy Chowdhury, Shantanu Maheshwari, Anirban Chakrabarti, Raima Sen, Indrajeet Bose, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

Raima Sen said “This is an innovative way to unveil a poster. I am so excited. It was a great feeling to work with Tota again after Chokher Bali. I did not have many scenes with the four of them. However, my character in the film is an integral part of the investigation that these four police officers are conducting”.

Shantanu Maheshwari was excited about his first Bengali film. “I play a cop in the film. I have not done anything before like this. The poster launch was grand and I am glad so many people turned up for the event. Speaking in Bengali was a good experience. However, I am not so fluent in the language. I have tried my best to speak it the best manner possible in the film” said Shantanu.

Anirban Chakrabarti plays the role of Naseer, a wise but cool-headed police officer. “This is a different cop from all the other cops that I have played to date. He is very sorted and has a cool demeanor. Tota’s character often asks Naseer to handle issues if they are a bit tricky as he can handle such situations well. However, due to his job, he cannot give much time to his daughter. She often complains about it. The film will not only show the police officers and their duties but also their personal lives as well” said the actor.

Tota Roy Chowdhury said “It is a good initiative to show that in Bengal such films on a grand scale can be made too. This is Bengal’s own cop universe. It was a pleasure to work with such an awesome cast. I hope that the audience will appreciate this effort”.

The film is produced by Friends Communication.

The film will be released on 20^th December.
