Bengal Para Cricket League To Promote Great Sportsman Spirit
The Bengal Para Cricket League (BPCL) hosts cricket camps and a mamy tournament to promote social and athletic advancement. Similarly, in February 2025, BPCL will host a tennis ball cricket competition in Belghoria, Kolkata, West Bengal. There will be sixteen teams competing in this competition.
A press conference was organized to announce this event. Nachiketa Chakraborty, Sambaran Banerjee (Cricket Coach) Dr. Biswajit Das (President), and others graced the event.
Speaking at the event, Nachiketa said “I grew up in North Kolkata and a great amount of time went in playing with my friends. But kids of today’s times play less and are hooked more to the mobiles. As a result, they are less active and fall prey to diseases at a young age. Through initiatives like this, kids can focus on outdoor activities and lead an active life”.
The teams who are going to participate are:
Gati para (Mohun Bagan)
Bengal para (East Bengal)
Boi para (College Street)
Office pars (Decres Lane)
Tolly para (Tollygunge)
Langcha para (Bardhaman)
Pala para (Nadia)
Das para (Howrah)
Paik para (Dumdum)
Chakroborty para (Barrackpur)
Sarkar pars (Murshidabad)
Ganguly para (Sundarban)
Rosogolla para (Kolkata)
Bose pars (Baghbazar)

This event will allow many young, gifted players to showcase their abilities. Additionally, a portion of the tournament’s proceeds will be given to a select group of nearby schools to support children’s growth.
The winners and runners-up will receive 8–10 lakhs in prize money.
