At Rabindra Sarovar Stadium, Ashok Hall Girls’ Higher Secondary School held its eagerly awaited Annual Sports Day. Approximately 2,300 children participated in the event, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, especially those from red-light districts.

Mr. Aloke Mukherjee, Former International Footballer and Chief Coach of the Indian Football Team was the Chief Guest for this grand occasion.

Students from various backgrounds displayed their talents on the Annual Sports Day, which honored the values of inclusivity and sportsmanship. The competition offered a blend of athletics and talent, from exhilarating races to lively cultural events. To ensure that the sports day was a huge success, students practiced diligently.

By inviting impoverished kids from red-light districts to its Annual Sports Day, the school demonstrated its commitment to fair opportunity for all people, regardless of background. This program helped these children develop their potential and self-esteem in addition to integrating them into regular classes and extracurricular activities. By defying conventional norms, the school demonstrated how education and athletics can be effective means of empowering people and bringing about social change. Ashok Hall demonstrated its commitment to fostering holistic development, advancing equality, and building a more welcoming and caring community through these initiatives.
