A 24-year-old young man, a 78-year-old senior, and a 45-year-old man suffering from life-threatening urological conditions recently received a new lease of life through advanced urological and robotic care at Narayana Health–Howrah. At Narayana Health–Howrah, three complex urological cases were successfully treated by a highly experienced medical team.

A press conference was organized to throw light on the success of the hospital in the different urological problems. Dr. Boppana Venkata Bhargava, Consultant in Urology and Uro-Oncology, Mr. Tapani Ghosh, Facility Director of Narayana Health – Howrah & Chunavati, and others graced the press conference.

Following unsuccessful treatments elsewhere, a 24-year-old man with Primary Bladder Neck Obstruction (PBNO), a rare and difficult illness that significantly impairs bladder function and quality of life, sought assistance at Narayana Health in Howrah. The diagnosis was verified by a thorough review that included urodynamic tests, cystoscopy, and uroflowmetry. This was the first time an Endoscopic Bladder Neck Botulinum Toxin injection was performed in Eastern India, according to the medical team.

In the second instance, a big retroperitoneal mass close to important blood vessels led a 78-year-old man to experience chronic stomach pain. A 7.1×6.5×5.7 cm tumor that was partially surrounding the aorta and adhering to the renal vein was discovered by advanced imaging. The doctors executed a precise surgical procedure, successfully excising the tumor while delicately mobilizing the surrounding organs.

In the third instance, the cutting-edge da Vinci robotic surgical system was used to perform a minimally invasive robotic radical nephrectomy on a 45-year-old man who had been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The patient was able to quickly return to their regular activities because the technique reduced post-operative discomfort and sped up healing.

Narayana Health-Howrah, which specializes in minimally invasive operations, is a leader in urological surgery, providing patients in Eastern India with access to cutting-edge care and better results. These intricate instances represent a significant turning point in Narayana Health’s dedication to developing cutting-edge therapeutic approaches and providing our community with the best possible healthcare.
