Bobby Chakraborty, a well-known actor, activist, and method acting instructor from Kolkata, finished the 16 anti-addiction campaigns (AAC) that South Point High School has been hosting since November. Additionally, he had organized 40 sessions since 2014 at the school.

Given the current situation of children as young as kindergarteners using smartphones extensively, the risk of the negative aspects of the internet affecting a developing, susceptible mind is very real. Smoking and drunkenness are readily accessible forms of addiction that are being normalized for children at a much younger age than in the previous ten years. As soon as possible, awareness must be raised because prevention is impending.

This is where Bobby’s widely recognized, free, preventive awareness program, I AM THE KING MY MY MIND, proves to be highly successful in guiding a youngster toward a healthy body and mind by combatting various forms of addiction and detrimental societal trends among young people.

Together with Bobby, the socially conscious Principal Rupa Sanyal Bhattacharjee, Coordinator Brita Sarkar, and their productive staff made everything ran well.

Seventh graders eagerly attended this thought-provoking workshop, and we believe they were the ideal audience for Bobby’s crucial life lessons.

With the help of soldier Darsh Singh, official photographer Megh Mondal captured this enchanted moment.

With the assistance of soldiers Ishan and Darsh, Bobby performed intriguing social experiments through play acts and demonstrations.

Nyneishia Ghosh received the most significant title of “The First Soldier” while Saptorshi Sen was named “The Trendsetter”. He was also one of the winners of the final surprise contest, which also included soldiers Soha Zaman and Tungesh Manna. Bobby presented Megh with special prizes, personalized HCF (Health-Career-Family) t-shirts, and Community Service Certificates.

Bobby, who became the Pied Piper of sorts, captivated his young warriors with his charming, poignant, and humorous delivery, captivating them with his spell of optimism and brightness. Before the session began, they were strangers, but after just two hours, they became ardent supporters of their favorite “Bobby Dada”.

To close this mind-bending, unforgettable session and his series of AAC at South Point High School for 2024, everyone in the audience yelled out the soldier’s motto, “I am the king of my mind” as loudly as ever.
